This is an afternoon restorative yoga session in the salt cave, on Sunday, September 15th.
This workshop combines the deep healing and restoration of two complementary wellness practices: restorative yoga, and halotherapy of the salt cave. Explore how relaxing and rejuvenating these two practices can be when combined together.
Restorative yoga involves holding passive yoga poses for an extended period of time (often 5-10 minutes or more) with the support of props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks. Restorative yoga aims to create a state of deep relaxation in which the body and mind can rejuvenate and relax.
Dry Salt Therapy, of the Salt Cave-- also known as Halotherapy, benefits adults and children alike as well as athletes and animals. Halotherapy is beneficial for overall wellness by removing the toxicity from the respiratory system, improving the function and appearance of the skin, and boosting the immune system.
You will be welcomed to the salt cave and begin with some gentle movement before relaxing your body on a mat over a bolster. Then you will be guided through a series of postures in which you can deeply release. You will also have the option to receive hands-on adjustments if you wish. Re-enter your evening refreshed, rejuvenated, and with new tools to move through the world with less stress and more peace.
Bring a blanket or two to cover yourself with and warm cozy layers and socks for this restful and restorative practice as you may get cold. Please do not drink too much coffee or alcohol before this event as it will be difficult to stay still and feel relaxed.
Arrive 15-20 minutes early to set up your space and use the restroom.
