Calling All Bodywork Models!
This coming Monday, July 17th, we are offering discounted treatment services as part of an ongoing, in-house training program.
Our massage therapist, Julian Ughetti, is a student of CranioSacral Therapy and is in need of willing bodies to practice on.
Developed by John D. Upledger, CranioSacral Therapy is a hands-on technique that utilizes gentle touch to release tension in the membranes within the central nervous system.
The central nervous system, composed of the brain and spinal cord, is a semi-closed hydraulic system, bathed in the nutrient-delivering cerebrospinal fluid. This fluid, separate from our blood, nourishes the brain and spinal cord as it pumps rhythmically from our sacrum, up the spine and throughout the ventricles of our brain, back down to our sacrum. A strong and balanced rhythm is a sign of good health. Events such as physical and other psycho-somatic injuries and trauma can lead to restrictions within the membranes of this system. CranioSacral Therapy seeks to restore balance and vitality.
The CranioSacral rhythm is a highly subtle pulse that takes training and lots of practice to palpate effectively. The CranioSacral 10-step protocol is a systematic approach to facilitate the promotion of a healthy Craniosacral rhythm. The light pressure of the practitioners’ hands is just enough to initiate the patient’s body to self-correct, returning to an optimal, strong, and balanced flow of cerebrospinal fluid.
If you are interested in participating in this program and have no serious injuries or health risks, sign-up today to reserve your time-slot for Monday, July 17th!
